Recently, a delegation led by Daniil Arefyev, Vice President of Moscow University of Finance and Industry (“Synergy” University), and Mekhri Aliev, Foreign Executive Director of the China-Russia Digital Economy Research Center, visited Jimei University. Wang Jian, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, greeted the delegation. Relevant officials from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Finance and Economics, and the School of Business Administration attended the meeting.
Wang Jian extended a warm welcome to the delegation, highlighting the university’s distinctive “Engineering and Maritime” disciplines as well as achievements in talent cultivation and scientific research. He expressed the university’s willingness to deepen cooperation with “Synergy” University in the fields such as Marine Sciences and the Digital Economy. The goal is to jointly cultivate versatile talents in business and technology who can contribute to Sino-Russian friendly exchanges and promote the coordinated development of education and industry in both countries.
Daniil Arefyev outlined Synergy University’s academic programs, institutional strengths, and international exchange initiatives. He expressed strong recognition of Jimei University's educational capabilities and development philosophy, and held high expectations for future collaboration between the two institutions.
The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on several topics, including the joint establishment of a Marine Research Laboratory, promoting multi-level student joint training and internship programs, co-hosting high-level international academic conferences, and building a stable multilateral cooperation mechanism. A series of consensuses on cooperation were reached.
