On March 11th, a delegation led by Professor Yao Xin, Vice-President of Lingnan University, Hong Kong, visited Jimei University. They were greeted by Professor Wang Jian, Vice-President of Jimei University. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions and explorations on topics including joint talent cultivation, student  further studies and graduate employment, collaborative scientific research, and future directions for cooperation.

Professor Yao Xin and his delegation toured several research platforms at Jimei University, including the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Marine Information Sensing and Processing, the Key Laboratory of Digital Twin and Safety Perception, and the Robotics Innovation Laboratory. They also held a discussion with faculty and students from the School of Computer Engineering. During their visit, the Lingnan University delegation delivered specialized academic lectures for Jimei University’s Schools of Business Administration, Science, Computer Engineering, Marine Information Engineering, and Marine Culture and Law. They also organized a further studies information session for Jimei University students, providing professional and clear guidance and direction regarding studying in Hong Kong, and answering related questions.

Lingnan University is one of the eight publicly funded universities in Hong Kong. Its predecessor, Canton Christian College, was founded in Guangzhou in 1888. The university is centered on liberal arts education, committed to nurturing well-rounded talents with a global perspective, social responsibility, and critical thinking, and is renowned for its strengths in humanities, social sciences, and business studies.
