On the afternoon of December 26, the 2025 Annual Meeting for Foreign Faculty was held. Vice President, Wang Jian delivered an address at the meeting. Other attendees were the heads from administrative departments and colleges, along with all foreign faculty members.

In his address, Wang Jian noted that foreign faculty has expanded in scale, optimized in structure, and broadened its presence across colleges, injecting new momentum into the university’s global engagement. He encouraged foreign faculty to continue leveraging their professional expertise and cross-cultural strengths. Beyond fulfilling high-quality teaching responsibilities, he urged deeper engagement in research collaborations and integration into Chinese academic teams to elevate the university’s teaching and research standards. He highlighted that relevant administrative departments and colleges should enhance their service, promote operational mechanisms, and create a more conducive work and living environment for foreign faculty.

The meeting reviewed the achievements in foreign faculty development over the past year, covering aspects such as team structure, teaching and research accomplishments, social impact, and services.

During the exchange session, seven foreign faculty representatives—James Smith Rossi (USA), Iuliia Soloveva (Russia), Shoukat Iqbal Khattak, Ahmad Waqas, and Sarwar Azam (Pakistan), Md Mehedi Hassan (Bangladesh), and Adade Solomon Selorm (Ghana) shared their experiences and reflections on teaching exercises, research collaboration, and cross-cultural adaptation efforts.

Certificates and trophies were also presented to foreign faculty members honored with this year’s “Chengyi Teaching Award,” “Industrial Securities Teaching Award,” “Industrial Bank Teaching Award,” “Outstanding Foreign Expert of the Year,” and “Long Service Award.”
