On the evening of April 20, the highly anticipated 2024 World Athletics Federation (WAF) Diamond League (the Xiamen Leg) kicked off. The event attracted nearly 170 top athletes from 38 countries and regions in the world. Students from the Physical Education College were invited to participate in five of the mat events.

JMU athletes were deeply impressed by the ex-world-champions’ professional excellence and athletic spirits while contesting with them. It’s reported that after fierce competition, JMU athletes clinched the 2nd and 3rd place in the women’s 100 meters, and the 3rd place in the 4*100 meters relay.
