Recently, the State Press and Publication Administration has issued the “14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Publishing Industry” and the “14th Five-Year Plan for the Publication of National Key Books, Audio and Video, and Electronic Publications”. The Collected Works of Tan Kah Kee, with JMU as the responsible author and Fujian Education Press the publisher, has been listed among them.

During “the 14th Five-Year Plan” period, the overall scale of national key publication special planning book projects is more than 2000. Considering the relatively large number of 225,000 newly published books each year (according to National Beraeu of Statistics data in 2019), it is far from easy for it to be selected in the key book planning.

The compilation of The Collected Works of Tan Kah Kee, a fundamental work for the cultural construction of the University, is a voluminous and large-scale academic project. With a profound attachment to Tan Kan Kee and a sense of mission, Tan Kah Kee Research Institute, which is responsible for the compiling of The Collected Works of Tan Kah Kee, has integrated all academic forces available to set up the writing group, speech group, correspondence group and paper group so that it can advance the compilation work.
